Grace

How brilliantly the style of an icon can be reflected in a comprehensive extension project in the Vaud Alps can be seen in the latest stroke of genius by property developer Frank Ewald and his son Thomas. I am beyond pleased to present to you today the high-end Alpine Residence “Chalet Grace”. A premiere with an Oscar-worthy ending!

1963. Princess Gracia Patricia of Monaco and her children Caroline and Albert are sliding down a hill in Villars-sur-Ollon on a wooden sled. She spends several vacations here and leaves a lasting impression.

58 years later and beyond the Bridges at Toko-Ri, a new star is lighting up the winter sky above Villars. In honor of its namesake, Chalet Grace reflects the myth of timeless elegance represented by a unique style icon. An encounter with a fascinating personality that captivates us all just with her looks.

Where there used to be boisterous parties on the roofs of Nice, the telling German title of “To Catch a Thief”, there is now a private residence with a view of the Dents du Midi.

With over 500 square meters, Chalet Grace boasts a ski storage room, a gym area, a spa, party, and entertainment areas, five bedrooms equipped with en-suite bathrooms and dressing rooms with built-in wardrobes and plenty of room for Kelly Bags and cashmere cardigans. The living and dining area partitioned by an impressive freestanding fireplace forms the festive core of the chalet.

In between, you’ll find numerous clever technical and decorative features that many a 5-star hotel lacks..

The modern-rustic character of this three-story residential and entertainment stage is rounded off by reclaimed wood for the ceilings, walls, wardrobes, and shelves. The bright and warm color accents of the natural stone, ceramics and textiles lend the interior an air of luscious elegance. The perfect place for a prince or The Country Girl.

Nothing could be more unlikely here than Dial M for Murder.

While Grace is surrounded by stillness and nature, you can rest assured that it’s located in the best neighborhood. What’s more, the Domaine Du Roc residence is equipped with state-of-the art, discreet security systems. You won't find a Rear Window here. Every room offers a view of the surrounding scenery, mountains and the recently built neighboring chalets. Perfect sunlight conditions promise ideal lighting all day long. Especially the five-meter-high window facade allows all the fascination and beauty that weather and light can hold to flood the room while you meet your loved ones for lunch at High Noon.

Go on and pop the champagne corks in the in-house bar, but be warned: When Green Fire comes out of the fridge, you've had one too many and tried to accidentally pull the champagne from the Hamam next door. There, green light is automatically activated as part of the programmable wellness application. Minty mist included. If you like it even hotter, head over to the adjoining sauna.

All the while, hardcore fans can enjoy scenes from The Swan under a starry LED sky at the home cinema.

Finally, a happy ending awaits you in the master bedroom. With the last embers in the fireplace at your feet slowly going out, you can let these glamorous Fourteen Hours fade into an adventurous dream of Mogambo.

Bottom line: You don't have to be a fan of Grace Kelly to feel completely at ease here! But perhaps you are a member of the High Society who one day gets to move in here.

My heartfelt thanks to Frank and Thomas Ewald!
